My Favorite Coffee

Last night I came home from work around 9:30, to thunder and maddening lightening terrifying my pups. No other family member home-off a night to spend with a friend.
It poured and misted on and off. I went upstairs, musterd my yellow Labrador, my cat Max and my mother's chihuahua Taco. I wasn't inclined to do much but read my book by the candlelight, the house still had power but i wanted to keep safe with as little electricity on as possible. With my beeswax candles lit and the frightened animals in my room i began to read to them. Their panting and antsy-ness settled more and more as i calmly read my book aloud. I am glad that i could soothe them:) P.S- The book is entitled Thoreau's Garden by Peter Loewer. I have nearly gotten through half the book, adoring each tidbit of Henry David Thoreau and the descriptions of outstanding garden specimens.

This morning: little trace of any storm...I awoke at 9am, completed some chores and water heated yesterday's cold coffee (yanno, boiled water, put porcelain cup of coffee in, it heated it well-without the microwave!). I really shouldn't have caffeine, unless i complete rigorous exercise(grrr always a hard word for me to spell).
There is something completely abnormal in my coffee cup, i added 3 drops of my homemade rosemary tincture. The brew tasted like a twisted vanilla coffee sister, it is incredible.
